DESCRIPTION:Let’s continue to come together for a meaningful community conversation about Confronting Islamophobia in America. \nIslamophobia and anti-Muslim racism remain rampant in our country\, and we cannot remain silent in the face of it. We need to come together across our diverse communities to protect one another\, stand against hate\, and refuse to allow fear and division to separate us. \nIf we remain divided\, we allow our political leaders to pin us against each other\, these fascist leaders will continue to use us as pawns in their dirty\, corrupt games. \nWhen our communities are in danger\, we need to stand strong together. By sharing spaces to learn about one another\, we build relationships and bonds that cannot be broken by fear\, myths and misinformation. \nThis event is held in loving memory of Wadea Al-Fayoume\, whose life was taken in an act of horrific anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian hate. DESCRIPTION:Gaza Fights for Freedom was filmed during the Great March of Return and was created through a collaboration between Abby Martin and Palestinian journalists on the ground in Gaza. The film combines footage of the demonstrations with interviews\, archival material\, and the experiences of Palestinians which includes journalists\, medics\, and the family of Palestinian paramedic Razan al-Najjar. \nAdvocates 4 Justice invites you to join us for a community screening of Gaza Fights for Freedom\, the 2019 documentary directed by journalist Abby Martin. \nTuesday\, October 6\, 2026\n6:00 PM: Doors open at 5:45 PM\nWheaton Public Library\n225 N.
