Gaza Fights for Freedom was filmed during the Great March of Return and was created through a collaboration between Abby Martin and Palestinian journalists on the ground in Gaza. The film combines footage of the demonstrations with interviews, archival material, and the experiences of Palestinians which includes journalists, medics, and the family of Palestinian paramedic Razan al-Najjar.
Advocates 4 Justice invites you to join us for a community screening of Gaza Fights for Freedom, the 2019 documentary directed by journalist Abby Martin.

Although the film was released in 2019, what it documents is important to understanding Gaza today. The story of Gaza did not begin on October 7, 2023. Neither did the blockade, displacement, occupation, resistance, or the struggle of Palestinians to be heard.
This screening is an opportunity to come together, learn, listen, and see Gaza through the voices and experiences of Palestinians themselves.
Whether you know a great deal about Palestine or are simply trying to understand more, you are welcome. Bring a friend, family member, neighbor, or anyone who is willing to listen and learn.
In line with Advocates 4 Justice’s mission, we’ll hold space for grounded, respectful conversation after the film—examining history, media narratives, and the impact on different communities. Your registration helps us plan a thoughtful dialogue and accessible setting for all.
